Police investigate after man leaves £80,000 on car roof and drives away

Police are investigating after a man apparently lost £80,000 by leaving it on his car roof and then driving off.

The 68-year-old man reportedly didn't trust banks, so kept his life savings in cash. Essex Police confirmed that the money went missing on the morning of 18 November, and the loss was reported the next day.
