Google forced to pay Barrichello damages over fake profiles

Rubens Barrichello, the Williams F1 driver, has been awarded damages of $118,000 by a judge in Sao Paulo after Google Brazil failed to remove profiles from a social networking site that openly mocked the Brazilian star.

According to USA Today, the tribunal court ordered the internet giant to pay Barrichello after it found in his favour in a long-running libel case.
