Volkswagen unveils refreshed Eos convertible

Volkswagen has revealed its updated Eos convertible ahead of the car's debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show next month.

The updated model has been treated to a new look derived from Volkswagen's latest design language that has already migrated to the rest of the manufacturer's range.

A new grille, headlights, front bumper and a reprofiled bonnet ensure that the Eos's reshaped nose fits in with the current VW family portrait.

At the rear the car gets a new set of tail lights similar to those fitted to the new Passat that made its debut at Paris last week.

The Eos's five-piece folding roof remains the same as before, but some new trim finishes have been added inside.

Beneath the new skin the car receives the familiar range of petrol and diesel engines, including the 207bhp 2.0-litre TSI and a Bluemotion technology equipped 2.0-litre diesel capable of returning 58mpg.

Prices and specifications for the new Eos will be announced when ordering opens for the car in November.
