Red Bull continue to dominate as Vettel stays fastest in practice 2

Updated

Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber continued to lead the way at the head of the timesheets in Suzuka on Friday afternoon, having also dominated this morning's session in near-perfect weather conditions. Having gone half a second quicker than their rivals in first practice, Red Bull extended their advantage to over seven tenths in practice two, with Vettel easing to P1 with a laptime of 1m31.465s, almost four tenths clear of team-mate Webber (1m31.860s).

Third for the second session in a row was Renault's Robert Kubica, with the French team looking like being a serious force to be reckoned with this weekend. His laptime of 1m32.200s was quicker even than Ferrari's Fernando Alonso (1m32.362s) who ended fourth, beating team-mate Felipe Massa (1m32.519s) and fellow title rival Jenson Button (1m32.533s).
