Friday's times irrelevant says Webber

Updated

Around four-tenths of a second down on Sebastian Vettel but well in front of the opposition - it didn't really matter to Mark Webber after Friday practice at Suzuka. Red Bull had made a good start to the weekend's racing in Japan, but the Australian driver didn't want to be too bullish. He was not too concerned about the gap between himself and Vettel, or about his lead on the rest of the field.

"I don't normally push hard on a Friday. Vettel did a few more circuits than me and finally went for a lap time. As usual, he didn't take things easy, but it's Sunday that counts," explained the world championship leader.
