Volvo launches iPhone app that shows emissions beyond CO2

Volvo has launched an application for the iPhone that details all the gases emitted by new cars, beyond the usual CO2 figure.

The Emissions Equality app reveals how much every car on sale today produces in terms of carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, hydrocarbons and particulates. The company says that it is these gases that contribute to the UK's unenviable record of having one of the highest rates of asthma in the world.
