VW Passat sets record by travelling 1,527 miles on one tank

A Volkswagen Passat has set a new world record by driving 1,527 miles on a single tank of fuel.

The record attempt, which has been formally ratified by the Guinness World Records team, saw a team from drive from Maidstone in Kent to the South of France and back, finally running out of fuel just short of Calais on the return leg.
