Aussie firm builds Ducati-powered Atom beater

A specialist manufacturer in Australia has unveiled a Ducati V-Twin-powered track car with the performance to rival the new Ariel Atom V8.

The company claims the Spartan-V weighs less than 300kg thanks to its tubular spaceframe design and carbon fibre body panels.

Beneath the striking body lies a 168bhp V-Twin engine normally found in a Ducati 1198 superbike.
