Toyota RAV4 EV to be shown at LA motor show

It seems like the collaboration announced in May between Toyota and Tesla is already starting to pay off, with an electric RAV4 being shown at the LA motor show next month.

The two companies had already announced the car was in development, but it wasn't expected to be unveiled until next year. Tesla is providing the powertrain for the car, which will be clothed in a RAV4 body (standard car shown above).

Toyota invested £35m in Tesla back in May and gave the California-based company access to an old factory in the area with a potential capacity of 500,000 vehicles a year.
