Audi to offer V8 engine in R8 convertible

Audi has decided to put the smaller of its two R8 engines into the Spyder version as well as the coupe, meaning the drop top now comes with a slightly lower starting price.

The R8 Spyder now costs from £95,545 when you pick the 8-cylinder engine paired with the manual gearbox, while the R tronic auto costs £100,855. The V10 engine starts at £112,500.
