Laguna freshened for Paris motor show

Updated

The Renault Laguna is still a common sight on Britain's roads, but when did you last see an example of the current model, and are you even sure what it looks like?

The latest Laguna, launched in 2007, has not been a hit for Renault, missing its sales targets across Europe by almost 50 percent, while selling here at a fraction of the rate earlier versions of the car managed. And that's despite much improved quality - dubious reliability being a major drawback of the previous, rather handsome version.

That the current Laguna is not much of a looker hasn't helped its popularity, and Renault will be hoping that the 2011 model's new front end, described as 'more assertive', will make it slightly more desirable.
