Brabus enhances the Mercedes SLS

Mercedes tuner Brabus has finally got its hands on the new SLS supercar, and immediately turned it into a carbon fibre festooned lightweight monster.

The sport program adds lightweight alloy wheels, an electronically adjustable suspension setup and a titanium exhaust, while the carbon fibre modifications slightly enhance the standard car's styling.
The carbon fibre used is the same as that used in F1, and changes are made to the front spoiler, side air inlets and rear spoiler. To further underline the sporty stance of the SLS, Brabus has chosen a massive set of alloys, but with a twist - the front wheels are 20-inches, while the ones at the back are 21-inches.

The car's suspension settings can be altered at the push of a button, but they don't just make it stiffer for enhanced handling - Brabus says that there is also the option to make the SLS more comfortable than the standard model. For owners who intend to keep their gull-winged supercar in an inner-city underground car park, the front can be raised or lowered by 2 inches to tackle steeper slopes.

Aside from the new exhaust, there is no final word yet on the performance upgrades Brabus's renowned efforts will produce, but the tuner says the 250mph speedometer is a generous hint to its intentions.

The new interior features a sport steering wheel, stainless steel plates with Brabus branding and the choice between leather and alcantara seating. But as this is a bespoke-type car, the luxury car maker says it is happy to "fulfill individual requests for the trim on dashboard, centre console and door panels".
