Belgian Grand Prix preview

Formula One's three-week summer break comes to an end this weekend in Belgium, as the circus reconvenes for the 13th round of the season in the Ardennes. As one of the most legendary circuits left on the calendar, Spa-Francorchamps is a fitting venue to end the hiatus and should provide fans with a thrilling spectacle. Uncertain weather conditions could yet play their role too.

Having dominated the most recent Hungarian Grand Prix, few would bet against a Red Bull victory this weekend, but with an engine power deficit in the Renault V8, Ferrari and McLaren are sure to be closer to the British-based team. Last year, with the same under-par engine, Vettel came from eighth on the grid to third, showing that engine power plays only a partial role.
