The Stig gets unmasked - again

Top Gear may be off the air at the moment, but the potential unmasking of its anonymous racing driver is again making headlines around the globe.

Following last week's news that the BBC intended to block publication of the Stig's memoirs by citing contractual confidentiality obligations, the national press again focused its journalistic lens on identifying the man behind the mask.

First past the post appears to have been the Sunday Times, which revealed yesterday that Ben Collins, a 35-year old former Formula Three driver was the person it believed to be the Stig.
