Video: Block reminds us just how tough life can be in the WRC

Updated

While some people may be a little sceptical of Ken Block's place on a works WRC team (he hasn't scored a point after eight championship events) his good-natured honesty does mean that we get a keen insight into the challenges faced, even by a talented driver, in one of the world's toughest race series.

In a short interview conducted while the American was practicing on tarmac for the German rally this weekend, Block admitted that his famous gymkhana sessions were definitely not a good way of preparing for the demands of driving a WRC car over road stages.

However, the likable extreme sports star never fails to seem like he's enjoying himself, and is always endearingly humble when discussing his future potential. We wish him all the best this weekend.
