Video: Truck jacking at gunpoint in Johannesburg

One of the things we love about living in the UK is the relatively low levels of violent crime. Certainly on the nation's roads the worst you are likely to see is some fist-shaking, horn-honking road rage.

Not so in Johannesburg. The South African city is notorious for its violent crime levels, and it seems you can't even go out for a quiet evening on your skateboard without witnessing a truck being held up at gunpoint.

That's if this video, currently racking up the hits on YouTube, is genuine. We're slightly suspicious of how quickly the amateur cameraman zooms in on the action, but then again, while the sight of an AK47 would have had us hot-footing it down the road, these locals might be a little more used to the spectacle.
