Video: US Top Gear trailer revealed

We may all be mourning the end of another Top Gear series, but in America they're just getting ready to begin screening their own version of the hit show.

A trailer for the pilot season has just made it onto the internet, and is certainly worth a look if you're already suffering withdrawal symptoms from the TG brand of japery.

There's been much (web-based) discussion on whether an US adaption of the show will work. For what it's worth the feeling in the Autoblog UK office is that it'll go one of two ways; either a new production team will revitalise the format with a genuinely fresh perspective or the American presenters will utterly fail to capture the cynical, sarcastic charm of Clarkson and co with too much high-fiving and excitable encouragement.
