Massa prepares for Hungary return

Updated

As the resurgent Ferrari team continues to fend off criticism of their tactics at Hockenheim, the Hungarian Grand Prix will mark a particularly poignant moment for Felipe Massa this weekend.

The Brazilian returns to the circuit where he very nearly suffered a fatal accident during qualifying last year when a spring from Rubens Barrichello's Brawn-Mercedes flew up and struck Massa's helmet, knocking him unconscious while driving at more than 160mph. When his car hit the tyre call, the egnine could still be heard on the limiter indicating that Massa was indeed out for the count and for the rest of the season as it turned out.
