US teenager uses internet to turn old mobile phone into a Porsche

Anyone still worried that the internet is just the most effective means of distributing pornography ever devised would do well to click on this video.

The NBC coverage details the story of 17-year-old Steven Ortiz, who laboured for over two years on Craigslist to trade up from a mobile phone to a Porsche Boxster.

It took a total of 14 swaps that included everything from iPods to dirt bikes, but was achieved without any publicity and without any money changing hands. Ortiz just used his god-given nous, a lot of patience, a pinch of good fortune and a marketplace that could only exist in cyberspace.
