Hardcore Mercedes A-Class in the pipeline

The A-Class has endured a less than favourable reputation ever since it infamously failed the 'Elk test' and fell over under harsh cornering while being analysed by journalists back when it was launched.

Since then it has never had a particularly sporting image, but Mercedes could be looking to change that now with the introduction of an AMG version that would look to take on the likes of the VW Golf R and the Ford Focus RS.
