G-Power launches the fastest SUV in the world

If you have a hankering to own the fastest SUV in the world, then you'd better get on the telephone to German tuner G-Power and Schnell – strictly limited to five units, the 900hp 5.5-litre V10 Typhoon RS should be quick enough to nudge you ahead of anything short of an actual sports car away from the traffic lights and brash enough to let the world know you have far more money than taste.

Don't let the impressive bodykit fool you – underneath is a tarted-up BMW X6, with 150kg removed to 'add lightness', as Colin Chapman would have it; a radically-overhauled engine from an M5 and ceramic brakes.

Comfort 'doesn't have to be sacrificed' though, says G-Power – the stripped-out interior is trimmed with carbon fibre and leather and kitted out with bucket seats. 0-100km/h takes just 4.2 seconds and the Typhoon RS has a top speed of over 200mph.
