Citroen cars get on-board internet
Citroen is to turn several of its cars into even trendier places to by providing them with a wireless internet connection.
The optional extra, dubbed WiFi On Board, will allow multiple devices to connect to the internet while the car is moving or standing still. It will be available in the DS3, new C3, C3 Picasso, C4, C4 Picasso, C5 and C6 models.
Citroen will install a wireless connection box that will house a 3G or 3G+ sim card that then creates a wifi cloud that devices such as laptops, phones or portable games consoles can connect to. The manufacturer is charging £545 for the box, but this doesn't include the card, which can be bought from any mobile phone provider.
It will be rolled out to other models in Citroen's range by the end of 2010.
