McLaren enlists the help of F1 stars for MP4-12C debut
McLaren has guaranteed a spectacular public debut for its new MP4-12C supercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend by enlisting the services of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
The F1 world champions will pilot the McLaren up Goodwood Hill as part of the Supercar Run.
The car will also feature on the manufacturer's stand next to the 1995 Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR1.
There will also be a MP4-12C rolling-chassis on display, offering visitors the chance to see how the car's bespoke components fit around the unique one-piece carbon chassis.
The new V8-powered McLaren is due to go on sale in spring 2011. It is predicted to cost between £125,000 and £175,000.
Autoblog UK will be reporting from the Festival of Speed on Friday.
