BMW's new Art Car bound for Le Mans

Updated

BMW has unveiled its latest Art Car, created in collaboration with an American artist and due to race at Le Mans later this month.

Jeff Koons, renowned for his brightly coloured artwork, used a BMW M3 GT2 as his canvas to create the 17th version of the Art Car. Previous examples have been produced by Warhol, Lichtenstein and Hockney amongst others.

These have been displayed at some of the world's most renowned art museums, but the Koons BMW will first cut its teeth on the Le Mans circuit with Britain's Andy Priaulx included in the driver line-up.
