Speed camera fines plummet

Updated

It appears that cameras are just not as prolific at fundraising as they once were – the number of drivers caught by static speed traps has fallen by 60 percent in Scotland.

According to the Scottish Safety Camera Programme the number of drivers fined for speeding north of the border has fallen from 114,000 in 2006 to less than 50,000 last year.
