Live from the launch: Mazda 6

We're playing spot the difference today, as we're on the launch of the facelifted Mazda 6.

You'd be hard pushed to tell what the brand had changed for the mid-life update though. New foglights and a new surround to the Mazda logo on the front grille is about all that is immediately obvious.

A new petrol engine has joined the range, but the tweaks to the diesels are more important.

We're in the mid-range 161bhp diesel this morning, which has trimmed emissions to 143g/km - still nowhere near similar powered offerings from BMW and Audi. Impressions are good so far, with the engine sounding a bit noisy but responsive from my passenger seat vantage point. Can't help but feel that not much has changed though...
