Mika Hakkinen linked with F1 return

Updated

Despite Michael Schumacher's return to Formula One not being a roaring success so far, there seems to be a never ending list of former drivers expressing an interest in returning to the sport in one form or another.

Now Mika Hakkinen, who retired back in 2001, has said he would like to return to F1 in some form, and has been linked with the role of managing Lewis Hamilton's headline-making career. Hamilton has been without a manager after he sacked his father from the role at the beginning of the season.

"I miss racing every day. It's very close to my heart," said Hakkinen. "I'll be back but I don't know when or where. I just know that I will do it again. Perhaps I will come back to F1 as a manager."
