Kids trust mum more behind the wheel

Updated

Kids trust mum more than dad when it comes to driving them around, a new survey has found.

In a kick to the pride of the nation's dads, six out of 10 five to 16 year olds say they feel safer when their mum is at the wheel as they are apparently less likely to shout at other drivers, dodge in and out of traffic or drive too fast.

And despite what dad might think of his four-wheeled pride and joy, kids apparently even think that mum is more likely to have the nicer car.
