Volkswagen upgrades the Touran

Updated

Volkswagen has revealed a facelifted Touran at the Leipzig Motor Show. The compact MPV has been treated to the manufacturer's new corporate nose and a fresh engine line-up.

VW's design department has attached its surly but stylish front end to so many models that they're probably doing it with tracing paper by now, but there's no arguing with its effectiveness and the Touran's tweaked visage is an improvement on the old model.

The interior has also been given a Germanic spruce - there are new dials and a revised centre console, along with more upmarket trim levels.
