Fiat's X-Factor kicks off tonight

Fiat's X-Factor style TV show – Evo Music Rooms – is set to hit our screens for the first time tonight.

We have to admit, we were sceptical when we first heard that Fiat was going to go all Simon Cowell on us, and produce a music show for up and coming talent, but the line-up seems to suggest this is more than just a karaoke gig with lots of sponsorship.

The Channel 4 show will be hosted by Radio One DJ Edith Bowman, and will see an unsigned act perform alongside a series of established artists. This week they have only got Ska-legends The Specials and the Doves appearing on the show. Quite a coup.
