NASA scientists called to assist with Toyota investigation
Experts from NASA have been asked to assist the US government's investigation into what caused the accelerator problems which triggered Toyota's global recalls.
The scientists will help the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study any possible electronic causes for the unexpected acceleration experienced in a wide range of Toyota models.
US transportation secretary, Ra LaHood believes NASA's expertise will guarantee a comprehensive review of the problem.
