On video: Aston Martin One-77

It's curious but the Aston Martin One-77 almost feels like a relic of a bygone age. The world might slowly pulling itself out of recession, but it still doesn't seem like the opportune moment to be selling a £1.2m hypercar.

Aston Martin took the One-77 on a world tour to drum up business. Doubtless seeing the car in the metal helped wealthy customers stump up the £200,000 the manufacturer was asking as a deposit.

For those of us not visited by the touring show car, Aston has released a video of the One-77 undergoing development testing in the UK. The 7.3-litre V12 engine under the bonnet sounds incredibly good, and the British firm claims the car has already cracked 220mph.

We're going to wait for the first deliveries in the summer before we put our deposit down, though. Click above to watch.
