VW teases with new Sharan

Volkswagen has revealed the new face of its next Sharan MPV ahead of the car's official unveiling at Geneva.

The car appears under a white sheet on Volkswagen's German website next to a timer counting down to its motor show debut. Keen to build some excitement around the new MPV, VW lifted the covers long enough for the image to be cut and pasted onto a number of motoring websites.

Volkswagen's prolonged teasing is somewhat ironic considering the fact it has taken the manufacturer 15 years to replace the current Sharan. The aging seven-seat MPV has been around since 1995, making it one of the longest serving models still on sale in Europe.
