Citroen unleashes the DS3 Racing

Citroen has revealed the first official pictures of the keenly anticipated DS3 Racing.

Due to go on sale in Europe in the second half of 2010, the new hot hatch will initially be limited to 1000 cars. The Mini Cooper S rival should prove popular too – not least because the Citroen Racing team has modified the excellent turbocharged 1.6-litre THP petrol engine to produce 197bhp.

A preview model of the DS3 Racing will be presented at Geneva next month in special Citroen Racing livery. The pictures show that the car gets a slightly tweaked exterior that includes a carbon finish around the front bumper and new body trim, plus 18-inch alloys to complement the Racing's 15mm lower stance.
