Few things in life hit the automotive G spot like a decent movie chase scene. The very best of the breed are high speed orgies of violent chorography which take a considerable amount of patience, skill and planning to produce.

Unless, that is, you do it on a laptop. Mothership, a new California based CGI studio has announced its arrival to Hollywood by creating 67 seconds of police pursuit footage featuring an Audi R8 and, bizarrely, a Range Rover.

The CGI sequence is a hair's breadth from photo realistic and the glimpses of heel and toe work at the pedals is a particularly nice touch, but Mothership's film still made us yearn for the good old days when you could strap a 35mm camera to McQueen's 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback and simply tell him to keep up with the Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum in front.
