Kobayashi tops second F1 test in Jerez

The second day of Formula One testing at Jerez saw Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi top the time sheets for BMW Sauber with a lap time of one minute 19.950 seconds.

He was closely followed by Sebastian Buemi in the Torro Rosso, who had been at the top of the board for most of the session, and world champion Jenson Button in the Mclaren.

Michael Schumacher was also back in action for Mercedes GP but could only manage sixth fastest on the day with a time of one minute 21.083 seconds.

Meanwhile, new Virgin F1 team were forced to pull out of testing after a front wing failed on Timo Glocks car after he had completed just 11 laps.
