Audi A1 on video

We still haven't quite made our minds up about the new A1. The car is already being heralded as a potential bestseller, but until we see it in the metal it's hard to know exactly how appealing those Polo-sized proportions actually are.

That said, there's no doubting the level of interest Audi's Mini rival has generated, and no one is better qualified to take you through the A1's all-important styling than head of Audi design, Stefan Sielaff.

Of course, being a designer, Sielaff likes to use words like 'emotional' and 'torpedo' a little too much, but there are some interesting insights into the influences and processes involved in the car's final appearance.
