Kia unveils all-new Sportage

Kia has revealed the first pictures of the new Sportage which will premiere at the Geneva show next month.

The manufacturer claims the car is a dramatic shift in design direction for the brand. There's no doubt that the new Sportage is considerably sleeker than the previous generation, as well as being larger and lower.

Kia insists the new car will also have improved ride quality over its predecessor thanks to a longer wheelbase.

The car shares its platform with the forthcoming Hyundai ix35, and will offer the same commanding driving position and raised ground clearance common to all SUVs.

The Sportage is due to launch in the UK later in the year, and is likely to priced from around £14,000.
