Pininfarina reveals Alfa spider concept

Updated

Pininfarina has released a sketch of the Alfa Romeo concept it will unveil at next month's Geneva Show.

The two-seat roadster was commissioned to celebrate Alfa's centenary year and Pininfarina's 80th anniversary. The car is meant to commemorate all the past spiders that were produced in close collaboration between the two companies.

The working relationship between Alfa Romeo and Pininfarina produced both the 1966 Spider Duetto and the 2003 GTV, so expect the new concept to look good in the metal.

While it's not destined for the production line, Pininfarina insists the car hints at a future design direction even while it pays tribute to the past.

We'll have all the official pics of the car when it's officially unveiled on March 2nd.
