Aston Martin will aim to repeat Le Mans success

Updated

Aston Martin has confirmed it will be entering two cars in the LMP1 class at the Le Mans 24 hour race in June.

Brits Darren Turner and Chris Buncombe will be part of the team driving the two cars, with Stefan Mucke, Harold Primat and Adrian Fernandez completing the line up. The cars will once again bear the iconic blue and orange livery of Gulf oil.

Aston made its debut in the LMP1 class last year and exceeded all expectations by finishing fourth overall, having been the fastest of the petrol cars for most of the race. This year's car will be powered by the sameV12 engine as the DBS, the DB9 and the forthcoming Rapide.
