Driver is fined for blowing his nose

A motorist in Scotland has been handed a £60 fine and three points on his licence for blowing his nose while behind the wheel of his car.

Stunned Michael Mancini was handed the fine after he pulled out a tissue and wiped his nose while he was sat in stationary traffic with his handbrake on. PC Stuart Gray promptly flagged Mancini down and handed him the punishment for allegedly being 'not in proper control of his vehicle'.

"I honestly thought it was a joke," said 39 year-old Mancini, who plans to appeal against the punishment. "I was just completely gobsmacked, we came to a complete stop and I thought that was quite a good time to blow my nose."
