The world's narrowest garage

Tom Webster

This Belgian man might have the smallest garage we have ever seen, but he is determined to make use of it.

Eugene is said to have been faithfully folding the mirrors of his car and pulling into his garage every day for the last 59 years. At just 1.55m wide, his faithful old Fiat Panda only just fits in it at 1.49m, giving him just 3cm on either side to play with.

Naturally getting in and out is impossible in this space, but Eugene has thought of this – he opens the door into his house and rolls the car back slightly to open the car door fully.

The man is clearly a genius – and at supposedly 88 years old he is living proof that age does not always affect your judgement.

Eugene, we salute you.
