Updated

The Peugeot 207 Verve will be available with two new engines from January.

The range will be joined by a new 1.4-litre VTi 95bhp petrol and 1.6-litre HDi 90 diesel engine.

The new petrol unit emits just 140g/km CO2 costing £120 a year with a combined fuel consumption of 47.8mpg, whilst the new diesel engine will cost just £35 a year in road tax with CO2 emissions of just 117g/km and fuel economy of over 64mpg.

Performance for both engines is modest, with both achieving 0-62mph in 12.8 and 12.9 seconds respectively.

Along with the new engines, the 207 Verve will be offered in three new colours; Aluminium, Shark Grey and Moroccan Red.

Prices start from £12,772 for the three-door 1.4-litre VTi 95.
