New Kia K9 sketches released

Thia is the first image of the new Kia K9, a new large saloon from the Korean car-maker based on the Hyundai Genesis.

The sketch was shown for the first time in Korea last week during a presentation from Peter Schreyer; the man who designed the original Audi TT and who now heads up Kia's design department.

It is likey that Kia will unveil a concept version first before a production model is unveiled in 2011. The K9 should get a range of engines from the Genesis range, potentially including a V6 unit and the range-topping 385hp V8 engine.
