Bentley workers build charity Routemaster while on strike
Striking staff at Bentley's Crewe factory have found something more useful to do than waving signs in the car park.
A group of 59 workers put 2000 hours into refitting an old Routemaster bus before donating it to St Luke's Childrens Hospice.
The bus will be used for a variety of care in the community schemes and to help raise awareness for the charity.
It was reported a few weeks ago that Bentley's craftsmen had also auctioned off a collection of their art work, produced while on strike, for the same charity.
