Formula One: Sauber regains control of team

Updated

Peter Sauber has bought his F1 team back from BMW, thus assuring the future of the outfit. Sauber's takeover is, however, dependent on the team being given a place on the grid for the 2010 season. But following Toyota's departure from the scene, this could be a mere formality. The FIA, the sport's governing body, is due to publish the line-up for next year on 30th November. The former and new proprietor Peter Sauber together with his staff in Hinwil (Switzerland) will then know where they stand.
