Tesla has a screw loose...

Updated

Incredible but true: Tesla, the pioneers in electric motoring, have had to take all 345 Roadsters so far sold off the roads. The vehicle will of course be returning to save the planet, but only after a trip to the garage. The US safety authority NHTSA has issued a recall for all of the electrically powered Tesla Roadster sports cars that rolled off the assembly line between March 2008 and April 2009. It has been established that a bolt on the rear axle may work loose because insufficient torque was applied when it was fitted. In the worst-case scenario, the 252bhp Roadster becomes unsteerable and likely to cause an accident. Tesla will be correcting the fault free of charge.
