How about this, Ferrari? A budget cap of $500
One such series that has been gaining in popularity over the last few months is the '24 Hours of LeMons'. No, it's not a typo: in this unusual event, cars (or what is left of them) can only enter if their value does not exceed $500, i.e. what the Americans would call a 'lemon'. The sheer enthusiasm of the amateur coachbuilders and fan base turn the occasion into a visual treat. Organiser Jay Lamm is considering franchising the series to Europe. Until it crosses the Atlantic, here are a few photos taken at the most recent spectacle in Reno.
