Tokyo Motor Show: Japan meets Japan

Updated

It looks as though The 41st Tokyo Motor Show will this year be a trade fair of purely national significance. Alongside the Japanese car manufacturers who will, quite naturally, be exhibiting there, it seems that only four foreign firms are to be represented. Hyundai and Ferrari have confirmed their attendance. Due to the crisis in the global automobile market, 20 foreign manufacturers have already cancelled their scheduled participation. This year's big-name non-attendees will include Volkswagen, General Motors, Ford, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.
