Original Batmobile at the beauty parlour

Updated

In southern California you will see the most beautiful and expensive cars in the world. Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches are just part of the urban landscape where hotrods and other monsters are paraded on sunlit boulevards.

But all of them have one thing in common; sooner or later they have to go to the car wash. The employees at one auto beauty parlour thought they had already seen just about everything there is to see when it comes to cars. But occasionally even they have to marvel, as when suddenly a Batmobile from 1966 turned up for a wash and wax. It's the fourth version of the superhero's car built by George Barris. The street-legal Batmobile is fitted with all the gadgets from the film, including an exhaust that really is a flamethrower. Take a look at the gallery, and memories of the good old days of comic-books will come flooding back.
